Mitra's artistic journey took a significant turn in grade 11 when she won a city competition, earning $1000. This victory allowed her to purchase her first professional art supplies, igniting a deeper passion for creativity. Despite the challenges, her commitment to art remained steadfast.
Pursuing Dreams
After studying design in college and working briefly in her field, Mitra had a life-changing dream. An old man in her dream praised her art, compelling her to quit her job and pursue art full-time. This bold decision marked the beginning of her dedicated career as an artist, where she immersed herself in painting day and night.
For the past four years, Mitra has been teaching art to both kids and adults. Her talent and dedication attracted attention on social media, leading her to offer one-on-one classes. She helps her students develop their skills and encourages them to showcase and sell their work at art shows. In Ottawa, Ontario, Mitra has established her own studio, which includes as space for her personal work and another for her students. This creative haven also features an art gallery that showcases her journey and dedication.
